Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
