Do not kill your children because you fear poverty. We will provide for you and them. Killing them is a great sin. 31 And do not commit adultery - for, behold, it is an abomination and an evil way. 32 And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right. And whoever is killed unjustly - We have given his heir authority, but let him not exceed limits in [the matter of] taking life. Indeed, he has been supported [by the law]. 33 Do not get close to the property of the orphans (unless it is for a good reason) until they are mature and strong. Keep your promise; you will be questioned about it. 34 Give full measure, when you measure, and weigh with accurate scales. That is fair, and better in the end. 35 And go not thou after that where of thou hast no knowledge verily the hearing and the sight and the heart, each of these shall be asked about. 36 And do not walk haughtily on the earth; you can never split the earth, nor be as high as the hills. 37 Each of these - the vice thereof is unto thy Lord ever detestable. 38 That is of the wisdom thy Lord set not up with God another god, or thou wilt be cast into Gehenna, reproached and rejected. 39 What, has your Lord favoured you with sons and has taken for Himself daughters from among the angels? You are indeed uttering a monstrous lie. 40
