In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. 1 These are verses of the wise Book, 2 A guidance and a mercy for the good, 3 who establish the prayer, pay the obligatory charity, and firmly believe in the Everlasting Life. 4 These are on a guidance from their Lord, and these are they who are successful: 5 But among men there are some who spend their time in idle diversions only to lead people astray from the path of God, and without knowledge, hold it up to ridicule: for such there is a humiliating punishment in store. 6 Whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a person, he turns away in his arrogance, as though he had not heard them -- as though his ears were sealed: give him, then, the tidings of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise 8 Wherein they will abide. It is a promise of Allah in truth. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars visible to you and He placed mountains in the earth as pegs lest it should turn topsy turvy with you, and He dispersed all kinds of animals over the earth, and sent down water from the sky causing all kinds of excellent plants to grow on it. 10 This is the creation of God. Show me what those whom you consider equal to God have created. In fact, the unjust ones are in plain error. 11
