Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
