Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
