Al-Ma'aarej 2 of 2

Now what is the matter with the Unbelievers that they rush madly before thee- 36 In crowds, right and left? 37 What, is every man of them eager to be admitted to a Garden of Bliss? 38 Never! For, behold, We have created them out of something that they know [only too well]! 39 I do not need to swear by the Lord of the eastern and western regions that We have certainly all the power 40 To bring instead (others) better than them, and We shall not be overcome. 41 So leave them alone to plunge and play, until they encounter the Day which they are promised; 42 The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. 43 With lowered eyes, disgrace overcoming them; this is the day, which they had been promised. 44

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej). Sent down in Mecca after Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah) before The News (Al-Naba')
