The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ About what are they asking one another? 1 Is it about the awesome tiding 2 whereon they are at variance. 3 No! They are going to know. 4 Again, indeed, they shall know! 5 Did We not make the earth a spreading, 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And We have created you in pairs; 8 And made your sleep a rest. 9 and the night as a cover, 10 and We appointed day for a livelihood. 11 And We built above you seven strong ones, 12 and placed in them a blazing lamp 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 that We may bring forth thereby grain and plants, 15 And gardens of thick foliage. 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 It is a Day whereon the trumpet will be blown, and ye will come in multitudes. 18 And the heaven is opened and becometh as gates, 19 and the mountains are set in motion, and become a vapour. 20 Surely hell lies in wait, 21 It will be a place of return 22 They will abide therein for ages. 23 they shall taste in it no coolness, nor any pleasant drink 24 But boiling and intensely cold water, 25 A fitting recompense (for them). 26 For indeed they did not look forward to any reckoning, 27 But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely. 28 However, We have recorded everything in a book. 29 (They will be told), "Suffer, We shall only increase the torment for you". 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
