۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
