The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
