A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Alif. Lam. Mim. Sad. 1 This Book has been sent down to you; so do not hesitate to warn (the unbelievers) through it, and remind the faithful. 2 Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord, and follow no friends other than He; little do you remember. 3 How many a township have We destroyed! As a raid by night, or while they slept at noon, Our terror came unto them. 4 When (thus) Our punishment took them, no cry did they utter but this: "Indeed we did wrong." 5 Then shall we question those to whom Our message was sent and those by whom We sent it. 6 Then We shall narrate to them with knowledge the whole account. For surely, We were not away from them. 7 The balance that day will be true (to nicety): those whose scale (of good) will be heavy, will prosper: 8 And whosesoever balances will be light - those are they who have lost themselves in respect of Our signs. 9 We established you in the earth and made for you a livelihood but little is it that you give thanks. 10
