Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 We certainly have the power to show you what they have been warned about. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 And submit, “My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the instigation of the devils.” 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 then those whose scales weigh heavy with good works will be successful. 102 but if it weighs less, one will be lost forever in hell. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. 118
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
