Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 1 I call to witness the lucent Book, 2 Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand. 3 It is in the Origin of the Book with Us, sublime and wise. 4 Can We ignore sending you the Quran just because you are a transgressing people? 5 And how many Prophets We did send among the earlier people! 6 And never came there a Prophet to them but they used to mock at him. 7 Then We destroyed men mightier than these in prowess; and the example of the men of old hath gone (before them). 8 If you ask them: "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they will answer: "The Mighty and All-knowing created them," 9 Who has made the earth a cradle for you and made thereon paths for you so that, hopefully, you may find your way 10 It is He who sends water down from the sky in due measure, We revive dead land with it and likewise you will be resurrected from the grave, 11 That has created pairs in all things, and has made for you ships and cattle on which ye ride, 12 so that you can sit upon their backs and then remember the Favors of your Lord and say: 'Exaltations to Him who has subjected these to us otherwise, we ourselves were not capable of it, 13 Hence, verily, it is unto Him that we must always turn." 14 Yet they assign to Him some of His own (created) worshipers! Clearly, the human is unthankful. 15
