Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Are We then wearied with the first creation? Aye! they are in dubiety regarding a new creation. 15
