And assuredly We sent Musa with Our signs unto Fir'awn and his chiefs, and he said: verily I am an apostle of the Lord of the worlds. 46 But when he brought them Our signs, lo, they laughed at them. 47 (Even though) each miracle that We showed them was greater than the other. So We seized them with chastisement so that they may turn back. 48 And they said: O wizard! Entreat thy Lord for us by the pact that He hath made with thee. Lo! we verily will walk aright. 49 But when We eased them of the torment, behold! they broke their word. 50 Then Pharaoh made a proclamation to his people: 'My people, is the kingdom of Egypt not mine and these rivers which flow beneath me? What, can you not see? 51 Or am I [not] better than this one who is insignificant and hardly makes himself clear? 52 and why have not armlets of gold been bestowed on him and why is there not a train of angels accompanying him?" 53 Thus he [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] befooled and misled his people, and they obeyed him. Verily, they were ever a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 54 So when they angered Us, We punished them, and drowned them all. 55 and We made them a thing of the past, and We made them an example to later people. 56

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
