Verily, the tree of Zaqqum, 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 like molten copper, bubbling in the belly 45 As does boiling water. 46 (It will be said of such sinners), "Seize them and drag them into the middle of hell. 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of scalding water." 48 "Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble! 49 Lo! this is that whereof ye used to doubt. 50 Surely those who guard (against evil) are in a secure place, 51 among gardens and fountains, 52 clothed in fine silk and rich brocade, sitting face to face with one another. 53 Even so. And We shall pair them with fair damsels large-eyed. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit, in peace and security. 55 They will not experience any death other than that which they have already been through. 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That! that is the supreme achievement. 57 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. 58 So wait thou [for what the future will bring]: behold, they, too, are waiting. 59
