Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 By oath of the clear Qur’an. 2 We have indeed sent it as a Qur’an in the Arabic language, so that you may understand. 3 and behold, it is in the Essence of the Book, with Us; sublime indeed, wise. 4 Then should We turn the message away, disregarding you, because you are a transgressing people? 5 But how many were the prophets We sent amongst the peoples of old? 6 But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him. 7 Then We destroyed those who were stronger than these in prowess, and the case of the ancients has gone before, 8 If thou wert to question them, 'Who created the heavens and the earth?' They would be sure to reply, 'they were created by (Him), the Exalted in Power, Full of Knowledge';- 9 (It is) He who made the earth to be a cradle for you and made in it ways for you, in order that you are guided. 10 And Who sendeth down from the heaven water in measure; then We quicken a dead land therewith: even so ye shall be brought forth. 11 And He it is who has created all opposites. And He [it is who] has provided for you all those ships and animals whereon you ride, 12 In order that ye may sit firm and square on their backs, and when so seated, ye may celebrate the (kind) favour of your Lord, and say, "Glory to Him Who has subjected these to our (use), for we could never have accomplished this (by ourselves), 13 “And indeed we have to return to our Lord.” 14 Yet they assign to Him some of His own (created) worshipers! Clearly, the human is unthankful. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
