And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 This is in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy the good things of life for a few years more, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And admonish thy nearest kinsmen, 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
