Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Qur'an full of wisdom. 2 Lo! thou art of those sent 3 on a straight path, 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 so that you may warn a people who are unaware because their fathers were not warned. 6 The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up (and they cannot see). 8 And We shall raise a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them, and cover them over so that they will not be able to see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God's] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward! 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
