Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
