The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created the human being 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
