Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
