Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
