Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah,- their deeds will Allah render astray (from their mark). 1 As for those who believe and do good deeds and believe in what has been revealed to Muhammad, and it is the truth from their Lord, God will remove their sins from them and set their condition right. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Even so God strikes their similitudes for men. 3 When you meet those who deny the truth in battle, strike them in the neck, and once they are defeated, make [them] prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as an act of grace, or let them ransom [themselves] until the war is finally over. Thus you shall do; and if God had pleased, He would certainly have exacted retribution from them, but His purpose is to test some of you by means of others. As for those who are killed in God's cause, He will never let their deeds be in vain; 4 He will show them the way, and better their state, 5 He will admit them into the Paradise which He has made known to them. 6 O you who have attained to faith! If you help [the cause of] God, He will help you, and will make firm your steps; 7 But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), for them is destruction, and (Allah) will make their deeds vain. 8 they have hated God's revelation, and thus, He has made their deeds devoid of all virtue. 9 ۞ Have they, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [willful sinners] who lived before their time? God destroyed them utterly: and the like thereof awaits all who deny the truth. 10 That is because God is the Protector of the believers, and that the unbelievers have no protector. 11
