With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof. 47 We have spread out the earth, how well We have spread it out, 48 And of every thing We have created pairs, that haply ye may remember. 49 Therefore, flee to Allah. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 50 And set not up another god with Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 51 Thus there did not come to those before them an apostle but they said: A magician or a mad man. 52 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. 53 So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. 54 And remind; the Reminder profits the believers. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 I desire of them no provision, neither do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 for, verily, God Himself is the Provider of all sustenance, the Lord of all might, the Eternal! 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised! 60
