So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
