The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and gently take it away; 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
