The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who determined and guided, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
