The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
