The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 Said they: "Thou art but one of the bewitched, 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
