In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 By the angels driving away. 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
