And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 And verily thine Lord knoweth whatsoever their breasts conceal and whatsoever they make known. 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that about which they differ. 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; surely you are on the clear truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 Nor can you be a guide to the blind out of their error; you cannot make to bear (any one) except those who believe in Our communications, so they submit. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
