Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 separating one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till a limit known? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
