The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 Like unto hidden pearls, 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 and clustered bananas, 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 and gushing water, 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And have made them virgins. 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For those on the right. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
