And when Abraham said, 'My Lord, make this land secure, and turn me and my sons away from serving idols; 35 “O my Lord! The idols have led many people astray; so whoever followed me, is indeed mine; and whoever disobeyed me – then indeed You are Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” 36 Our Lord! Verily I have caused some of my progeny to dwell in a valley uncultivable near Thy Sacred House, Our Lord! in order that they may establish prayer; make Thou therefore the hearts of some of mankind to yearn toward them, and provide them Thou with fruits, haply they may give thanks. 37 O our Lord! Surely Thou knowest what we hide and what we make public, and nothing in the earth nor any thing in heaven is hidden from Allah: 38 It is only God who deserves all praise. I praise Him for His giving me my sons Ishmael and Isaac during my old age. My Lord, certainly, hears all prayers. 39 Grant, O Lord, that I and my offspring may remain constant in devotion. Grant, O Lord, my supplication. 40 Lord, on the Day of Judgment, forgive me and my parents and all the believers." 41
