Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
