Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 [This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds. 2 Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay! it is the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, that they may follow the right direction. 3 It is God who created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, in six spans, then assumed all authority. You have no protector other than Him, nor any intercessor. Will you not be warned even then? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth. Then it will ascend to Him in one day, a day whose value is a thousand years by your reckoning. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 who perfected everything He created. He originated the creation of the human from clay, 7 Then He made his progeny of an extract, of water held in light estimation. 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him something of a spirit from Him; and He ordained for you hearing and sight and hearts. Little is the thanks ye return. 9 And they say: when we are vanished in the earth, shall we then be raised in a new creation? Aye! in the meeting with their Lord they are disbelieving. 10 ۞ Say, "The Angel of Death who has been given charge of you will gather in your souls. Then you will [all] be returned to your Lord." 11
