۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Verily, thus shall We deal with all who were lost in sin: 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 as the fruits [of their life on earth]; and honoured shall they be 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 Are we not then to die 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
