۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 and that hour you are watching 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 Then is relief, and flowers and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
