Noah said, "Lord, they have disobeyed me and followed those whose wealth and children will only bring about destruction for them. 21 They contrived a plot of great magnitude. 22 and have said to each other, 'Do not give-up your idols. Do not renounce Wadd, Suwa`, Yaghuth, Ya`uq and Nasr (names of certain idols). 23 And indeed they have led astray many, and do not increase the unjust in aught but error. 24 And so, because of their sins, they were drowned [in the great flood,] and were doomed to suffer the fire [of the hereafter]; and they found none who could succour them against God. 25 Noah said, "Lord, do not leave a single disbeliever on earth; 26 Surely, if Thou leavest them, they will lead Thy servants astray, and will beget none but unbelieving libertines. 27 Lord, forgive me, my parents, the believers who have entered my home and all believing men and women. Give nothing to the unjust but destruction. 28
