NAY, but consider the moon! 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 From the guilty. 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
