Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
