O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they fancy that Our continuing to give them wealth and children (means) that 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 and believe in His messages 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 Aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers. 63 Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication! 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
