The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
