Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known extent. 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
