The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
