Will he whose breast has been opened up to peace (not be) in luminescence from his Lord? Alas for those whose hearts have been hardened to God's remembrance! They wander (astray) in clear error. 22 Allah has sent down the best of Books (the Holy Qur’an), which is consistent throughout, the one with paired statements; the hairs on the skins of those who fear their Lord, stand on end with it; then their skins and their hearts soften, inclined towards the remembrance of Allah; this is the guidance of Allah, He may guide whomever He wills with it; and whomever Allah sends astray, there is no guide for him. 23 Can he who will have to shield himself against the torment of the Day of Resurrection (be the same as one at peace)? The evil-doers will be told: "So taste what you earned." 24 Those before them belied, and so the torment came on them from directions they perceived not. 25 So Allah made them taste humiliation in the life of the world. And surely the torment of the Hereafter is greater - if they but know! 26 We have given all kinds of examples for the human being in this Quran so that perhaps he may take heed. 27 a Quran in Arabic, free from any ambiguity -- so that people may be mindful. 28 Allah propounds a parable: there is a man whose ownership is shared by several quarrelsome masters, each pulling him to himself; and there is another who is exclusively owned by one man. Can the two be alike? All praise and thanks be to Allah. But most of them are unaware. 29 Truly thou wilt die (one day), and truly they (too) will die (one day). 30 In the end will ye (all), on the Day of Judgment, settle your disputes in the presence of your Lord. 31
