The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 you are only a mortal like us. Indeed we believe that you are an utter liar. 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
