The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
