Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the pages are made public 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
