Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
